March Madness – 3.7.2019 – Best Bets for Thursday’s NCAABB Slate

Hello Daily Play Action! Anthony Marro here back to share my Men’s NCAABB picks with you tonight and every night, as tournament time approaches. This season I have floated around 59% ATS on over 250 picks, and feel I know these teams well enough to provide consistent winners. This article will have my picks but you can also follow my Twitter for all bets against the spread. My write-ups and any O/U action will be posted exclusively here on DPA!

  • Daily Play Action ATS Record: 1-4-0
  • Daily Play Action O/U Record: 2-0-0
  • Season ATS Record: 153-112-7

Central Florida -2.5 vs Cincinnati

  • With a 61% chance to win I am very confident taking UCF in this spot. All but one of their 22 victories came by at least three points
  • Central Florida is 17-10-1 against the spread this season while Cincinnati is 12-17, and 4-7 on the road
  • Even during spring break UCF will have the arena packed for senior night as BJ Taylor and fan favorite Tacko Fall will play their last home games. I expect the 7′ 6″ senior to have a huge night
  • UCF is coming off of their biggest win this season on the road against Houston. They should be confident but I do not fear any sort of hangover especially on four days of rest

Colorado -5.5 vs UCLA

  • UCLA will be playing at a mile higher elevation than they are used to. It will also be their first road game since February 16th
  • Colorado also beat UCLA at Pauley Pavilion by eleven points earlier this season. Shane Gatling also had a season high 28 in that game
  • Colorado is 9-4 against the spread at home this season with an average margin of victory of 12.5 points
  • The mostly zone look of UCLA is not going to be a problem. It has been man that slowed down Colorado all season and Coach Alford will not challenge his very young team to make that significant an adjustment

California Irvine -11.5 at California Poly

  • Cal Poly has won and covered just one of the past ten meetings between these two teams. This season UC Irvine won 74-47
  • UC Irvine is 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games. They have also won their last four games by at least twelve points
  • This is the top team in the Big West against the team in the basement. Cal Poly is not good at all. Two of their six wins were against teams outside of Division I
  • Cal Poly has gone 1-7 against the spread at home this season

Southern California at Utah, Over 151

  • USC is 7-2 O/U as an away team this season in favor of the over. Meanwhile, Utah is 10-6-1 O/U as a home team in favor of the over
  • Utah is very offensively oriented and are rather unpredictable on defense, while USC is more balanced. While 151 may seem high both teams have floated around that total all season
  • This game is huge as far as Pac-12 tournament implications go. The third and tenth ranked teams are all within one win of each other. With seeding on the line I expect very strong effort by both teams
  • There is an argument to be made that Utah has the best offense in the conference. Not to mention Sedrick Barefield has been very hot as of late. Thee star point guard is averaging 16.8 points per game

I play every game I post so you should not be afraid to tail, but never go too heavy on any one game. These few weeks of hoops are a marathon not a sprint, so manage your bankroll appropriately. That being said scared money is lost money! Let’s win today Playmakers!
