NCAA BASKETBALL – 11.5.2019 – Best Bets for Tuesday’s College Hoops (Free)

77

Hello Daily Play Action! Anthony Marro here, back to share my NCAA Men’s Basketball picks for the entire college season. Last year I was happy to supply over 300 picks against the spread and finish the season cashing at a rate of just about 59%. As March Madness approached and I was brought on to write for DPA, readers were treated to a 45-27-2 record of sides and totals over the final month of the season. This season, betting write-ups will posted exclusively on DPA almost every day but be sure to follow my Twitter too so you won’t miss a pick on days with abbreviated slates.

  • Current Season ATS Record: 0-0-0
  • Current Season Totals Record: 0-0-0
  • Previous Season ATS Record: 181-127-9

Providence -18 vs Sacred Heart

  • Returning five starters from last season Providence should be able to sleepwalk in this game against Sacred Heart from the underwhelming Northeast Conference
  • Luwane Pipkins a senior transfer from Massachusetts is a star scorer who is going to start contributing points to this team right away. I expect about 25 minutes per game
  • Sacred Heart played with one of the highest tempos last season averaging 72 offensive possessions per game. This season should more of the same which should mean getting blown out when facing superior competition

Holy Cross vs Maryland, Over 140.5

  • This Maryland team is offensively focused and is in the discussion for most talented team in the country. They topped 85 points just three times last season but I think they start the year off with 80-85 points tonight
  • In the front court Jalen Smith is an NBA first rounder who is going to be able to dominate this smaller Holy Cross team. He will play most of the game and score a lot in the paint
  • This season Holy Cross will still score plenty but no longer have two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year Jehyve Floyd to anchor their team on that end of the floor

Oklahoma -13 vs UT-San Antonio

  • Oklahoma lost a few players from last year, but this team shapes up to be better both offensively and defensively than the one Lon Kruger coached last season
  • Adding freshman guard De’Vion Harmon and transfer Austin Reaves should mean seven or eight legit scorers that will all be fighting for minutes and a spot in the starting rotation
  • This spread is just too low due to Oklahoma missing senior forward Kristian Doolittle, when his absence should not really make much of a difference. The public is also extremely overvaluing what should be a barely .500 team in UTSA

Saint Mary’s vs Wisconsin, Over 130

  • This is a neutral court game and honestly one I am very much looking forward to watching. These two teams have serious potential to play in the second weekend come March
  • Saint Mary’s only improves from last season as they return four starters and Kristers Zoriks who sat out all last season with an injury. Wisconsin also has experienced scorers and will face much more difficulty on the defensive end now without Ethan Happ
  • This line is just too close. I do not expect these teams will allow possessions to go for naught as the game enters the final stages and am anticipating scoring from the tip to the final buzzer

Michigan State vs Kentucky, Over 138.5

  • The Champions Classic double header is a good one to open the season. Michigan State is the AP #1 and deserves to be, as they will yet again dominate on offense thanks to the play of star point guard Cassius Winston and an extremely talented supporting cast
  • While Michigan State is likely the best in the country, Kentucky will also finish somewhere in the top ten offensively. Coach Calipari brings in two-star freshman adding to an already loaded roster that should be able to keep pace with the Spartans all night
  • It is going to be a close game. I give Michigan State the edge and you can feel free to bet them as well. This one just screams over as both the public and sharp money are saying that the 138 total is just too low

Let’s win today Playmakers! I am confident in every pick that I provide and play them myself. College basketball is unpredictable and that’s why we love it, so always bet smart!
