Hello Daily Play Action! Anthony Marro here, back to share my NCAA Men’s Basketball picks for the entire college season. Last year I was happy to supply over 300 picks against the spread and finish the season cashing at a rate of just about 59%. As March Madness approached and I was brought on to write for DPA, readers were treated to a 45-27-2 record of sides and totals over the final month of the season. This season, betting write-ups will posted exclusively on DPA almost every day but be sure to follow my Twitter too so you won’t miss a pick on days with abbreviated slates.

  • Current Season ATS Record: 35-38-1
  • Current Season Totals Record: 24-22-0
  • Previous Season ATS Record: 180-127-9

Maryland vs Marquette, Over 148.5

  • Maryland is fantastic on offense and their games have gone over in the past three straight contests. They average over 80 points per game and with a dynamic duo like Anthony Cowan and Jalen Smith on the court they should score at least that today
  • Games have been high scoring here in Kissimmee and I think that will continue today in the first contest at HP Field House. While Maryland will likely win this one I think the Golden Eagles will keep it very close and help us cash in a winning ticket
  • The simple truth here is that Markus Howard is too hot to fade. He scored 40 points on Thursday and then game out on Friday to put up 51. This is unsustainable but with how good a tear he is on I do not think there is any team in the country that could stop him right now

Yale PK vs Vermont

  • Trying to find an edge for this game was tough but I view Yale as a team who has dominated early season and lost some tough road games. Conversely, Vermont has a tarnish on their schedule with a loss to Rider already in the books. They seem too shaky
  • The early season cardiac Bulldogs seem to be a thing of the past as Yale has dominated their past two games winning by at least 20 points in each. Both teams have solid defenses but I would give Yale the slight offensive edge over the Catamounts
  • Anthony Lamb is a monster and it is not good to bet against him but today I think the larger and more experienced Yale team is able to slow him down considerably. Jordan Bruner should match up favorably against him and I think Yale will do enough elsewhere to cover

Villanova -17 vs La Salle

  • Villanova has lost twice already but both were against very good teams in Baylor and Ohio State. It will not matter much here though as Villanova has a Top 5 offense and should absolutely smoke La Salle. Scoring at least 80 should be no issue for the Wildcats
  • On the other side we have La Salle who has struggled offensively, specifically inside the paint. They can shoot the three, but I do not think they will find enough points there to cover the spread. Even a short cold streak would likely put this game out of reach
  • The two best opponents La Salle has face so far, they ended up losing to. This is an elite program filled with talented athletes and size that the Explorers simply can not compete with. Playing on their home court I expect Villanova to run them out of the gym tonight

Southern California -1.5 vs Harvard

  • Looking at the schedule USC played the first thing that jumps out is a ten-point victory on the road against Nevada. That Wolfpack team has a lot of parallels to the Harvard Crimson and I think today is a similar route on the neutral court in Kissimmee
  • Harvard has lost against the three best teams they have faced, and the Trojans are no slouches. I think both these teams have some tournament appeal but USC we will still be talking about on the bubble in February. Harvard’s bubble will of popped before then
  • Nick Rakocevic and Onyeka Okongwu are a dynamic duo in the front court who should propel the Trojans to victory. They are very fast paced on offense and should be able to control the tempo against a Harvard team that traditionally plays significantly slower

Let’s win today Playmakers! I am confident in every pick that I provide and play them myself. College basketball is unpredictable and that’s why we love it, so always bet smart
