NCAA BASKETBALL – 2.11.2020 – Best Bets for Tuesday’s College Hoops (Free)

Hello Daily Play Action! Anthony Marro here happy to share my NCAA Men’s Basketball picks for the entire college season. Last year I was able to supply over 300 picks against the spread and finish the season cashing at a rate of just about 59%. As March Madness approached and I was brought on to write for DPA, readers were treated to a 45-27-2 record of sides and totals over the final month of the season. This season, betting write-ups will posted exclusively on DPA almost every day but be sure to follow my Twitter too so you won’t miss a pick on days with abbreviated slates.

  • Current Season Record: 194-196-6
  • Previous Season Record: 180-127-9

Purdue -5 vs Penn State

  • Purdue is not going to lose this game at home and oddsmakers at Vegas know it. The Boilermakers are coming off two huge Quadrant I victory and should cover this number with ease in what should be the easiest matchup of the three. They are 8-4 against the spread at home this season
  • Penn State has been red hot, not dissimilar to how I have been ice cold. Myreon Jones will be returning from illness to boot but none of that is going to matter as they travel to West Lafayette. Purdue’s defense is just far superior. They are the smart bet in this one
  • The Nittany Lions have lost the past nine meetings between these two and the games have not been particularly close. Purdue has an average margin of victory of ten points in those games and this is one of the best teams Matt Painter has had during that span

Kentucky vs Vanderbilt, Over 144

  • If the LSU Tigers taught us anything last week it is that you need to be careful of this Commodores squad. I wrote off Vanderbilt after Aaron Nesmith’s injury, but they are still averaging over 72 points per game. Lock in the high for what should be a good battle
  • Kentucky is on a current streak going 10-3 to the over. They averaged 81 points per game over that stretch and continued to funnel their offense through Immanuel Quickley. He has witnessed an offensive explosion in his second year for the Wildcats
  • Ashton Hagans has been cold as of late and it could benefit us if he sits today. He is questionable but reportedly could go either way this evening. Scoring just 7.8 points per game in his last five contests I do not think it makes a difference if he plays or not

Notre Dame vs Virginia, Under 119

  • This is the highest total we have seen for Virginia in a long time but not much has changed regarding their game play. This is still a Top 5 defense and still the team that plays at a slower tempo than anyone else in the country. We are going low tonight
  • Norte Dame has been flying high offensively but this is a brick wall that Mike Brey always struggles to break. The past three meetings have resulted in just 55 points per game for the Fighting Irish and tonight will be no different. I expect a final around 60-55
  • The greatest weapon for Norte Dame is their accuracy from beyond the arc, but nobody defends like Virginia. The Cavaliers are one of the few teams that allow worse than a 30 percent three-point percentage. They also are one of the few that have the size to defend the Fighting Irish

San Diego State -15.5 vs New Mexico

  • Huge spread but who cares. This San Diego State team has appeared in my article quite often and that is because they are that damn good. The Aztecs have covered in three straight games and will cruise to victory again here. You can likely get to bed by halftime
  • The Lobos are a respectable team in the Mountain West, yet they just lost to San Diego State by 28 points two weeks ago. They played host there but now must travel to Viejas Arena, giving the Aztecs an even bigger advantage. They may fall short of 60 points again in this rematch
  • I think this Aztecs squad is going to finish the year with a single loss, in the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. They are extremely balanced on offense and defense and swept their five Quadrant I opponents. New Mexico will again be light work for them

Let’s win today Playmakers! I am confident in every pick that I provide and play them myself. College basketball is unpredictable and that’s why we love it, so always bet smart!
