NCAA BASKETBALL – 2.8.2020 – Best Bets for Saturday’s College Hoops (Free)

39

Hello Daily Play Action! Anthony Marro here happy to share my NCAA Men’s Basketball picks for the entire college season. Last year I was able to supply over 300 picks against the spread and finish the season cashing at a rate of just about 59%. As March Madness approached and I was brought on to write for DPA, readers were treated to a 45-27-2 record of sides and totals over the final month of the season. This season, betting write-ups will posted exclusively on DPA almost every day but be sure to follow my Twitter too so you won’t miss a pick on days with abbreviated slates.

  • Current Season Record: 191-187-6
  • Previous Season Record: 180-127-9

Saint Louis vs Dayton, Over 141.5

  • Dayton is still rolling into February and is looking like a legitimate final four contender. There offense really cannot be matched, and I think they cruise to a huge victory here at home today. I think that 80-65 is a conservative estimate for the final score in this one
  • Saint Louis has hit three overs in a row and are averaging a healthy 71 points per game this season. It is impressive they have topped 150 in each of those meetings and I am confident the Billikens can keep this rolling. Javonte Perkins has been locked in as of late
  • The Flyers are 15-7 to the over this season and have been cruising to high totals even on days when their offense gets challenged. Since the start of conference play they have been especially hot and I anticipate they put on another impressive performance against his defense

Texas Tech vs Texas, Under 129

  • Something is clicking for Shaka Smart and Texas at home. The Longhorns are allowing just 61 points per game at the Erwin Center and should be locked into today’s game against their in-state rival. I do not think either squad tops 65 points here this afternoon
  • Texas has excelled at defending the three-point shot and limiting opponent’s opportunities. They play very disruptive defensively and it is rare to see a team go on extended runs against them. They should hold up their side of this under with ease
  • The Red Raiders may have fallen off a bit in the first half of conference play, but they are still a very talented squad. Their defense has still been shutting down opponents as they allow an average of just 64 points per game. I think they barely win here in an extremely close one

Baylor -13 vs Oklahoma State

  • We are getting value with the Bears once again as they come off a missed cover versus Kansas State. That was a tough road game but tonight being back at home and facing .500 Oklahoma State should be a different story. Baylor should win by at least 15 here
  • Baylor was only able to defeat the Cowboys in Stillwater by seven points in their first meeting. However, this Baylor is now firing on all cylinders and playing like the best squad in the country. Oklahoma State is just 1-8 against the spread in Big 12 play
  • Lindy Waters III and Avery Anderson are both projecting to sit for Oklahoma State. The duo combines to take over 40 percent of the teams’ shots and without them on the court this should go from an easy win to a full-blown cake walk for Baylor. Lock this bet in if either is going to sit

Providence vs Xavier, Under 133

  • These teams have combined to see the under hit in their past five games. Both have been winning big games, but neither is using their offense to do so. These solid performances are hard to come by in the Big East and I am buying as both teams continue improving
  • Xavier lost Naji Marshall to injury in their last contest and if their leading scorer is to sit, they may not put up more than 55. I do think he has a chance to grit this one out and play but keep in mind he is banged up and centerpiece in an offense that funnels to him
  • Providence has some of the best inside size in the entire Big East. They more difficulty than you would expect defending but have been playing at another level in the past week or so. They allowed just 181 points in their past three outings, largely thanks to Alpha Diallo

Saint Mary’s +6 vs Gonzaga

  • Gonzaga has done nothing but dominate all season, but they have surprisingly failed to cover in three consecutive games. All has led up to tonight which looks to be the toughest game remaining on the Zags schedule. It will essentially clinch the WCC title
  • This series has been very back and forth the past decade but one thing you can rely on is the unexpected. I believe that Saint Mary’s offense is one of the few that can hang with Gonzaga and if they put up 75 or more, we could end up seeing an upset. However, take the points here
  • The last road game for Gonzaga was a scare against San Francisco that we were able to cash in on. That Dons squad was able to keep the final score within four points and they are not nearly as talented as the Gaels. They fell twice to Saint Mary’s already in 2020

Oregon vs Oregon State, Over 137.5

  • Oregon is coming off a stinker against Stanford seven days ago and will try and shift their narrative back in their home state this evening. We should see a lot of easy buckets from these two teams and some especially easy looks for the Ducks inside
  • Tres Tinkle is going to cruise to another 20-point affair here in what is a small frontcourt for Oregon. With each offense averaging over 73 points per game we should see a very easy over hit thanks to the importance of every single basket. Both teams need a win
  • These teams are a combined 30-14 to the over this season and have not slowed down a bit in conference play. It is rare to see two Pac 12 teams with NBA talent but that is exactly the case on this court tonight. Lock in the over and enjoy what should be a show

Let’s win today Playmakers! I am confident in every pick that I provide and play them myself. College basketball is unpredictable and that’s why we love it, so always bet smart!
