The Daily Diamond | 07.06.18 | DraftKings | Main Slate

Hey playmakers, today is Friday and you know what that means: another monster 14 game main slate for DraftKings!  Today I will be covering my favorite core plays as well as my favorite spend up pitching option, and a few team stacks to get you going! Lets get this money!

Lance McCullers | Houston | $11,900

Lance McCullers looks to stay hot and take advantage of a struggling White Sox Team.

Lance McCullers is my favorite pitching option of the night for the price. Where do I start? Saving $2,100 in salary from Chris Sale is a nice draw. McCullers is also facing a White Sox team which has a 25.6% K rate. Houston is largely favored in this match up with a 4.9 (HOU) to 3.1 (CHW) implied run total. If the implied run total isn’t enough to peak your interest lets dig a little deeper. Lance is averaging 22.66 DK point per game over 7 largely favored contests this year, and 18.65 DK points over 15 games. McCullers past month consists of 50.7% ground balls, 16.4% line drives,  and 19.2% soft contact. Opposing team splits to consider for the White Sox: a mediocre .249 batting average, .178 ISO, and .316 wOBA over the last 150 games. Coming in around 10% projected ownership I will be having a good amount of Lance McCullers tonight!

Other players to consider: Chris Sale | Boston | $14,000 | Jacob DeGrom | NYM | $13,000 | Lance Lynn | MIN | $6,400 | German Marquez | COL | $5,800

Max Muncy | LAD | 3B/OF | $5,000

Muncy and the streaking Dodgers will continue to build on recent success tonight vs. Angels.

Max Muncy and the Dodgers have been hot as of recently. Muncy is averaging 13.4 DK points per game over his last 10 and boasting some pretty big numbers. He is a top 5% hitter vs. RHP with a .354 wOBA, .228 ISO and a whopping .049 HR/ plate appearance vs. RHP! If you can’t afford his high price tag, Cody Bellinger is also a great substitute with similar (although lower) numbers.

Trea Turner | Nationals | SS | $4,700

The recently slumping Nationals will try to duplicate last nights performance where they posted 14 runs.

Trea Turner is batting leadoff tonight and why not start your line up out with a red hot young bat!? I had Turner in several lineups last night in a very favorable match up and it paid off Huge as he blasted 2 HRs for 45 DK points! Tonight i’m going back to the well with a mini Nationals stack which will also include the likes of Matt Adams for value amongst others. Turner’s splits to consider vs RHP: He is a top 15% hitter with 2.31 points per at bat, a .297 average, 47 stolen bases, 16 HR, and a .364 wOBA!

Other players to consider: Cody Bellinger | LAD | 1B/OF | $4,800 | Paul Goldschmidt | ARI | 1B | $5,100 | Niko Goodrum | DET | 2B/ OF | $3,700

Rhys Hoskins | PHI | $4,900

Slugger Hoskins is always a threat to go deep.

Hoskins can be a frustrating player at times but the upside is definitely there. I like him tonight in the Phillies match up vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hoskins provides a HR opportunity at every plate appearance and i’m expecting him to take Trevor Williams deep tonight. The wind is currently blowing out to right field at Citizens Bank Park at 8 Mph. Hoskins is  a top 5% hitter vs. RHP, top 80% in barreled balls over the last 14 days, and the PGH bullpen is 25th in the league vs RHB. Look for Hoskins to pay off his price tag at low ownership at home tonight.

Joc Pederson | LAD | $4,500

Joc Pederson is one of my favorite plays per dollar tonight!

Joc Pederson might be one of my favorite plays of the night at only $4,500.   Joc is a top 10% hitter vs. RHP and the LAA bullpen is 28th in the league to LHB, giving up 2.23 points per plate appearance. I will be loading up on Dodgers bats tonight as we have seen them getting hot and putting the ball out of the park while lighting up the scoreboard with some regularity as of late! Splits to consider: 22 HR, 55 RBI, .288 ISO, .381 wOBA.

Other players to consider: Matt Adams | Nationals | $3,700 | Nick Williams | PHI | $3,400 | Jake Cave | MIN | $3,100.

Chalk Stack(s): NYY, Boston, Houston, Washington. Sneaky Stack(s): Detroit Left hand bats vs. Bartolo Colon. Los Angeles Dodgers.
