Welcome to the Saturday September 12th edition of the Stack Report. We have eight games on the FanDuel main today and on DraftKings. I’ve done my best to isolate only the best GPP stacks for this MLB DFS Slate on both sites. Let’s jump into the stacks.
Chicago White Sox (6.02 Implied Runs)
vs. Michael Fulmer (DET)
Will Michael Fulmer ever be completely stretched out? So far this year Fulmer has yet to go over 3 IP. His performance has been sub-par with 5.52 xFIP, 7 HRs allowed in 19 IP, and a 43.9% hard contact rate. The White Sox have the power to punish Fulmer tonight. The Cuban power trio of Eloy Jimenez, OF (12 HRs), Luis Robert, OF (11 HRs), and Jose Abreu, 1B (13 HRs) seems to come through every night. After those three you have the strong play of Tim Anderson, SS, with his 7 HRs and 5 SBs. Two strong, cheap additions to any White Sox stack are Yasmani Grandal, C (6 HRs & .201 xFIP) and Edwin Encarnacion, DH (8 HRs & .251 xFIP).
Colorado Rockies (6.60 Implied Runs)
vs. Jaime Barria (LAA)
Any time the Rockies play at home they should be a consideration. With Jaime Barria on the mound tonight should be no different. With a 5.22 xFIP coming into tonight’s game it doesn’t bode well for the Angels and Barria. As always, you should start Trevor Story, SS, with his 10 HRs, 13 SBs, and .262 expected ISO. Charlie Blackmon, OF, flexed his muscles with a walk-off grand slam last night for his 6th HR of the year. He, also, brings in a .238 expected ISO. Also, we can’t forget Nolan Arenado, 3B, and his 8 HRs and .252 expected ISO. Two strong LHB additions to your lineup for tonight are Ryan McMahon, 2B (7 HRs) and Raimel Tapia, OF (5 SBs).
Detroit Tigers (4.48 Implied Runs)
vs. Reynaldo Lopez (CHW)
A little bit lower of an implied run total for a pick here but the Tigers are facing Reynaldo Lopez. It’s a tough call who has the worse SP, the Tigers or White Sox. Coming into tonight’s game, Lopez, has a 6.54 xFIP and a 50% hard contact rate. The Tigers have been no slouches at the plate this year, too. They have been led by the IF combo of Jeimar Candelario, 1B (7 HRs & .172 xISO) and Jonathan Schoop, 2B (8 HRs & . 183 xISO). Next, we have the double threat in Victor Reyes, OF (4 HRs & 6 SBs). This season, Willi Castro, SS, has been a pleasant surprise with 3 HRs and a .162 xISO. A cheap addition to any Tigers stack is Jorge Bonifacio, OF.
